Summary of Responsibilities:
Legal Administrators manage the business functions of a law office. General responsibilities cover accounting operations, financial planning, human resource management, marketing, technology and physical facilities. Legal Works Consulting, Inc. specializes in the following functions:
Financial Management:
Financial Management includes planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis. Administrators perform general ledger accounting, billing and collections, trust accounting, payroll and taxes, analysis, and other financial management functions. We manage banking relationships, investments, and advise on setting billing rates and work-loads to assure financial profitability.
Human Resource Management:
HR Management covers recruiting, hiring, discharge, training and development, performance reviews, salary and benefits administration, diversity initiatives, retreat planning, policy and procedures for the firm. We manage employee relations, compensation, benefits, and personnel data systems with integrity and confidentiality.
Technology and Systems Management:
Administrators develop, implement, and update the overall technology and system plan for the firm. We manage the hardware and software systems and equipment to support communication, information flow, storage, retrieval, and work product for the firm.
Facilities Management:
Administrators manage owned or leased facilities and equipment used by the firm and the supplier negotiations and relationships for these services. We oversee moves and physical space, supplies, inventory, reprographics, telecommunications, mail, messenger, data and records storage. We evaluate contracts and service quality and price. We develop internal safety and security plans including computer and other systems for disaster planning and continuity.

Administrators analyze client profitability, implement marketing plans to develop new business opportunities and enhance the firm's visibility and public image. We establish systems to collect and analyze information to promote the firm and to assure client confidentiality and satisfaction with services.
